Listening to understand or to respond

1 min read

How often do we listen to understand—and how often do we listen just to respond?

At Conscious Reasoning, we encourage conversations that make room for reflection, different perspectives, and personal growth.

That begins with everyday choices: asking before assuming, giving someone space to finish their thought, and considering how our words may affect the person receiving them.

In our workplaces, families, and communities, each of us can help someone feel heard. We can also remain open to learning something that challenges our own perspective.

What helps you feel heard and respected in a conversation? Share your thoughts below.
